Acting Dream

ACTING DREAM

Have you ever dream to be an actor in childhood? I used to, and I believe most of the children have the same dream too. However, I did not have the opportunity to connect these kind of stuffs in my childhood. After I grow up, opportunity comes. The first opportunity that I have is to be reporter in a local drama called "Legal Eagles". Even though it is not an important character and does not require any acting skill, but I feel interested and satisfied. It lets me know how a drama to be shoot and also have the chance to meet the main actor, Felicia Chin. She is very nice. After this experience, I also have other opportunities to show up in online video, telemovie and short film. These experiences ignite my interest on acting.

Fortunately, I found a studio called Stage 69 Productions. They are having the first mandarin adult acting class and I have the opportunity to join too. After reached the studio, I saw some people have already reached and waiting for the class began. It started at 2pm and ended at 5pm. The teacher Apple asked me if I have pants, because the class required a lot of body movings and dress is not really convenient. Thus, they lended me their extra pants and the class started. First, Apple asked us the reason why we are there. Most of our answers were to learn acting skills, understand about acting and to experience new stuffs. After introducing ourselves, he started to teach us to stretch our body. He said as an actor, our body must be ready all the time. He taught about the posture, voicetune and imagination.

Come to the activities time, he separated us to three groups and gave us few tasks. In my group, he gave us a title 'Gossip In The Office' and wanted us to create characters by ourselves. It is actually fun. After that, Apple gave us another task again. He wanted us to suggest a place, character and incident. Thus, we got school, doctor and car accident. We needed to make a story and act. Everyone did well with their creative idea. Last, Apple gave us scripts and wanted us to act. In my group, we got four people. Two girls and two boys. The story is about four of us are going to adventure, and at the end, one of the girl murder all of us. We took thirty minutes to remember the script and find our way to act. It is actually challenging and fun. After all the groups done, we took a group picture before went back. It is really memorable and happy experience! The class costs RM200 per month, interested people can go to their open day on 22 January 2017. They are having a free trial on that day.

Wednesday Night Blues Dancing

BLUES DANCING

Do you have any idea about blues dance? When I first heard it, I was like huh? What it is? I only know it is one kind of musics, but I do not know it is also one kind of dances. It opened up my curiosity and I told me myself must try it!

Moment while people were dancing

In Sid's Pub, they are having blues dancing on every Wednesday. It is located at The Village, Bangsar South. It starts at 9pm and ends at 11.30pm every Wednesday. There has no entry fee, it means it is free. However, because of the pub lends the space for us to dance for free, so it is recommended to buy a drink to support them. When I reached Sib's Pub at 9pm, outside looked nothing different with a normal pub. However, after I entered the pub, there has an empty space for people dancing. That space is only for blues dancers. There has a short beginner class at 9pm, so do not worry if you do not know how to dance. After registered, the organizer taught us the basic steps first. It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and outfit. After we catch up, we started to dance.

Light was getting darker, the empty space turned into dance floor and more people were coming. Blues dance is a partner dance, so it is easily to make friends too. One of the experienced dancers recommended me to dance with more different people, so that I can learn from everyone. I was shy at first, but not anymore after danced with few people. I danced with different people and learned their skills. Luckily, they were willing to share to me too. At 11.30pm, the music stopped and people started leaving. It is definitely the best plan for Wednesday night. I love the music and environment, so if I have time I would go and dance again, see you! ðŸ’ƒ

International Fencing Club Malaysia

FENCING CLASS

First post in 2017, sorry for really longgg did not update. Today I am going to talk about fencing. Before going to the class, I actually know nothing about fencing. I do not know about the origin, posture, outfit, rules and competition. I believe most of Malaysian have the same mind with me, because it is still not a popular sport like badminton or football. I am a person who love to challenge new stuffs, so when the opportunity comes I would immediately hold it.

I found a fencing club named International Fencing Club Malaysia (IFCM) in Sri Petaling. There are very less fencing clubs in Malaysia and luckily I found one near to my house. After I reached the studio, the scene impressed me, because I have never seen fencing strips and equipment before, everything is new to me. Then, the Coach, Yu, gave me a smiley greet and confirmed my appointment. He was an ex-Olympic fencer and have more than 10 years experience. He taught me the different way of stretching, it works better than the normal stretch. After that, he started to explain three different fencing events, which are epee, foil and sabre. Fencing origin from France, so there are a lot of France words would be used on competition.

With coach Yu (Wearing sabre outfit)

Epee outfit

Foil outfit

After explanation, Coach Yu started to teach me about posture. Posture is the most important in fencing, thus body has to be flexible. Basically, the different between epee, foil and sabre are the marks counting, sword and outfit. He taught me one by one professionally and patiently, thus i strongly recommend people to learn from here. The course fee is RM250 unlimited per month. If you want to give a try, they have short course too, you may purchase in Groupon for RM58 x 1 sparring session or RM78 x 3 sparring session. It is really worth! Do contact 012-376 5051 for more details.

Vintage Wedding Dress 1920-1970s

VINTAGE WEDDING DRESS 1920s-1970s

I think vintage is a trend now. The fashion is going back now. What I know about vintage before is floral patterns and youth. I see many small fashion stores in Malaysia are selling vintage style clothing and accessories. I think vintage wedding dress is very beautiful and classical. In 1920s, men usually wore vest and women's wedding dress was simple and classic. The photo below shows the wedding suits for men and
wedding dress in 1920s.

1920s

1930s

In 1930s, veil has become a trend. Most of the brides wore veil in their wedding. It has a big changed. The waistline returned to the natural position. It was the most obvious changing.

1940s

In 1940s, the retro red lips, hair accessories, updos, and simple dress are the characteristics of 1940s wedding dress.

1950s

In 1950s, the dress was exaggerated with floral patterns.

1960s

In 1960s, most of the women wore antique lace dresses. The wedding dresses changed from complicated to simple. The dresses became simple and simple from this era. The designers started to design simple and classical dresses. The wedding dress style has changed a lot. The length of the dress and veil were becoming shorter. Shoulder style dresses were the trend.

1970s

In 1970s, colour wedding dresses became the trend. It was not only purely white dresses.

I only focus from 1920s to 1970s because these years are the most changeable years. Wedding dress is always the most beautiful dress. I think it might have a magic. After women wear it, they will become the most beautiful woman.

This is the best concert ever. No need go earlier, with aircon, free water, free ticket, seating zone, and my favorite group, Super Junior(>w<) Super Junior is the most famous group in Korea. The concert was on yesterday 23 November.  At the morning, I was so disappointed that I couldn't go to the concert. The location was near to my house but I couldn't go because my friends couldn't accompany me to go. All of a sudden, one of my friend called me and said her friend has extra free ticket. She asked to me to go (0w0). I was very very very excited. I immediately prepared my things and drove to Bukit Jalil. The concert was on Putra Indoor Stadium. When I reached the stadium, the concert was started. They have already performed three songs (><). We sat quite near to the stage. They always came in front our seats. Kyuhyun and Heechul waved to us (0ww0), I could't believe that.

We took photos in Bukit Jalil. I choose there is because the place is suitable with sweet style. Here is the photos :D

The point is the red dress. The floral pattern and ribbon make the dress looks cute. It is suitable with sweet style so I choose it.

Red Dress - Dreamer

The point here is the black high heels. It is not only bright colour can represent sweet style but also dark colour. Although it is in black, but the design of it is in sweet style. The red dress is too bright so wear a dark high heels will not affect the effect of her look.

Black High Heels - Clarks

Second, my model Anna. She is from Germany. She is so friendly(>w<) We took photos in Bandar Puteri and IOI Boulevard. She looks mature so I choose sexy style for her. Here is the photos :D

Louis Vuitton's Masquerade Ball

LOUIS VUITTON'S MASQUERADE BALL

The mysterious guests of Louis Vuitton's masquerade ball has arrived in Venice. Join them for L'Invitation au Voyage. David Bowie sings 'I'd rather be high' in the film, click here . There have fourteen models here.

It impressed me. The hands design look really unique. I like the dress design too.

His right eye is covered by the big green eye. The hat is similar with the helmet of last Romam army.

She looks elegant. The hairstyle and accessories are so good.

First, I think she is mannequin (><) Her make up and hairstyle are similar to mannequin.

It is about the dark side is forever be revealed but can you trust the light will be brought?

The exaggerate hair accessories attract me. If she goes to a party, I will firstly notice her.

There have clouds at his face. If you stare deeply at his eyes, you may be lost in the clouds.

After for seeing it long time, I still can't get what the designer wants to present.

White serpent gold mask is the point. The body of the serpent covers the mouth part. Anyway, I don't like serpent :(

This mask is so huge. The material of it easily catches people's sight.

The hairstyle is so unique. The mask looks like thief XD

I like this ♥ There have three side of faces. It is awesome.

The mask is reflecting all the things. When you look at it, you are like looking the mirror. He is like knowing all the fact of yours.

Last, simple gold mask with simple dress. The mask is simple but I like it It looks elegant.

I like masquerade ball, although I haven't been before. It is mysterious and fun party. I hope I got chance to attend masquerade ball :D

Hermann Rorschach

HERMANN RORSCHACH

Today's Google logo is so unique. There have a words 'share what you see' The logo today is for commemorate Hermann Rorschach.  Today is Hermann Rorschach's 129th birthday. He was born on 8 November 1884  in Zürich, Switzerland and died on 1 April 1922 in Herisau, Switzerland. Here is the logo.

The world 'share what you see' is under the paper and hand but this photo didn't show.

This is Hermann Rorschach. He was psychiatrist and psychoanalyst. In 1912, he published his doctoral dissertation. Thereafter, he worked in Russia once year. The rest of his career, he spent in Swiss asylum. He was greatly interested in Sigmund Freud. Sigmund Freud strongly influenced him to become the promoter of psychoanalysis in all the Swiss psychiatrist. In 1896, Binet and Henri had proposed to use the standardization of ink to measure imagination. He mixed the ideas of Binet and Henri with his word association test. He extended the ink technology to measure the whole personality, especially unconscious emotions. In 1911, he created ten famous symmetrical cards. In 1921, he released his book Psychodiagnostics, which was to form the basis of the inkblot test. This test was available for children and adults. It was mainly based on colour and motion response ratio. The photo below shows the ten inkblot test cards.

Fashion Show - Gothic

GOTHIC

The theme for this week is Gothic. I like gothic. I bought a lot gothic clothes last time. The elements for Gothic is conspicuously dark, mysterious, exotic and complex features so we see a lot black clothes in the show. This week fashion show is done by Diploma Fashion & Retail Design Semester 3. There have six models only today. It is lesser than before. This week fashion show is quite unique, usually before the fashion show, there should have performances but this time, the fashion show directly starts. After the fashion show, there have performances for the launching of dancing club. The performances are different with before.

First, it is elegant. A simple dress and  cool hairstyle. I like it

Second, I really like the necklace. It is Gothic necklace. The designer chooses simple clothes and put some accessories up. It is good.

Third, I think this is normal. The clothes are black but I don't feel Gothic here.

Fourth, I think this is more Lolita style. Cute dress and the furry hair accessories make her look cute.

Fifth, the long sleeve shirt is quite matching with the dress. The shirt looks unique.

Last, I don't think it is Gothic. I don't see Gothic here.

There are the models and designers.

Next, let's see the performances

There have dancing and singing performances. The band is really good. The guy who is sitting in the first photo sings really well. They also perform Dabke. It is Arab folk dance. In addition, there have Belle dance performance. The girl is so good in shaking. She dances very well. Next, there have street dance performance. I like street dance, especially LA Hip Hop and Popping There have Street Jazz, Popping and Breaking dance in the show. As you can see from the photo above, he is dancing breaking, he is so awesome to make this pose. He must have put a lot efforts to practice it.

This week fashion show is so awesome, nice theme and performances. I hope that every Thursday will be same like it. Have a nice show and we can enjoy it (^w^).
