Fashion Show - Little Black Dress

Little Black Dress

Today the theme for the fashion show is 'Little Black Dress'. Little black dress is an evening or cocktail dress. The first little black dress was created by Coco Chanel in 1920s as emblematic of Gallic chic and worn by Edith Piaf. Chanel. It is the symbol of chic and sophisticated simplicity. For those who want to know the history of little black dress can go this website kaleidoscope  Today the fashion show has thirteen models. All the designers are from Semester 2 of Diploma in Fashion & Retail Design. Let's take a look to the fashion show.

This is the first model. She wears a false collar necklace to fill up her empty neck. The necklace with her dress and gloves are so match but i think if the designer put a small hat on her hair will look much better. I hope that she can walk slowly.

This is the second model. This dress is like leisure dress. I think this dress is not suitable to go to cocktail party. 

This is the third model. The designer doesn't choose all in black dress. She chooses a dress with zebra patterns in symmetrical balance. It is a breakthrough. I think her hair and hands are so empty. If her hair is tied up and put some bracelets, she will look better.  

This is the forth model. This dress is very simple. I don't think it has any special because i can always see this type of dress in the campus. By the way, she looks good.

This is the fifth model. The dress really suits her. Her hair also matches with her face. The designer put a long slave to become a blazer and add some silver stuff to make it looks sophistication. The model looks so cute (^w^)

This is the sixth model. The designer chooses a black dress with a cat. Cat is one of my favourite animals so I like this dress. This dress is very casual. We can wear it anywhere except sports. The designer chooses a red hat to let people notice her. Waves of red in the visible spectrum is the longest so red is the colour that easiest catch our eyes.

This is the seventh model. The front view and back view are different. The designer put a long necklace to collocation with the dress. I like the necklace. Her hair also doesn't hinder the dress. This is my favourite for today's fashion show.

This is the eighth model. I think the up part is too heavy. If her hair is tied up, she will look much better. The designer also plays black and white for the style.   

This is the ninth model. I think she is also having a same problem. If her hair is tied up will be better and her make-up can make it thicker. The designer uses all black to present little black dress. 

This is the tenth model. The dress is nice but if with a high heel and neat hair will look better. I really hope that the model can walk slowly (-.-)"

This is the eleventh model. I like this style. Her hair, make-up, dress and high heels are so good. I like all that. Don't you realize that the model dress and the audience that sit at the left side (My classmate, Sasi) are quite same XD 

This is the twelfth model. She is also can straight away go to cocktail party. A black dress with silver accessories and the pink fan make her look elegant. I like this style too. 

This is the last model. I almost can see her every week in the fashion show XD. I think this outfit is not suitable to her. This outfit is more suitable for thirties women. The designer makes a different feeling with the little black dress. 

That's all for the little black dress. Some of the designers are so good to style the model. I hope that I will watch a better fashion show next time:D.

Model : Maggie

She wears a blue dress with a white belt. I like it. Blue and white are my favorite colour. Blue is also a trend this year. She also wears blue accessories. Her high heels quite match with the background. 

Model : Izzy & Maggie

For Izzy, he wears red for his shirt, pants and shoes. I think he likes red XD. The glasses and hat are so match with his outfit. He is holding a LV bag, it makes him looks fashionable.

Model : Martha

She wears very simple. The white dress highlights her from the background. Her shoes also match with the background. She is like going to touch the tree, it is a nice pose. 

Fashion Show - Native

NATIVE

The theme for today's fashion show is Native. There have ten designers. All the designers are from Diploma Fashion & Retail Design Semester 4. I really like today's fashion show, the designs are awesome. I also take some photos of models before the fashion show. They are making up in the room.

Let's watch the fashion show~~

This is the first model. It looks like an ethnic dancing costume, this is the point that relates to the theme. If the designer put some bracelets to her hands and make some design on her hair, it will look better. 

This is the second model. This dress looks like the evolutionary version of miko's clothes. Golden colour and her hairstyle make her look noble but I think if change the high heel to silver will be better.

This is the third model. The designer takes this idea from Chinese traditional costume, cheongsam. I think the designer can put different colour of flowers on the clothes not only pink colour. The high heel also can change to other colour like orange. Put some bracelets will look better.

This is the fourth model. I like this dress. The designer put the ethnic pattern on the modern dress. It looks simple and elegant. Her hair also matches with the dress. 

This is the fifth model. The design of the dress is nice, the shoulder part is the point. It is easy to attract people. The accessories are good but i think the hairstyle and high heel can be changed. Tie up her hair to highlight the shoulder part. The high heel colour can change to bright colour. 

This is the sixth model. It fulls the feeling of Saudi Arabia. The designer wants to break through the all black rule. She uses the blaze sheer to cover the model's face.

This is the seventh model. This is my favourite clothes in this fashion show. It looks like a wedding dress. The different colours and layers of sheer are very beautiful. Blue and white are my favorite colour♥.

This is the eighth model. The designer takes this idea from long-neck tribe. Women in long-neck tribe use a long brass ring and circle it up on the neck. The designer uses long necklaces to present the brass ring. 

This is the ninth model. He is the only boy in this fashion show. It looks like Indiana costume. The designer makes the tassel to present the ethnic.    

This is last model. Obviously, it is Indiana style. The designer uses the hat, make up and design to present Indiana style. She uses black in the clothes instead of brown colour. Indiana costume always in brown, the designer wants to try different thing.

That's all for the fashion show. I really enjoy this fashion show. I like the designs especially the forth and seventh. I am expecting for the fashion show next week (^w^). 

Fashion Show - Frida Kahlo

FRIDA KAHLO 

Today is Thursday, our campus has fashion show in this afternoon. The title today is 'Frida Kahlo'. Let me introduce you who is Frida Kahlo. She is a Mexican painter, born in Coyoacán. She was born in July 6 of 1907 and died in July 13 of 1954. In September 17 of 1925, she suffered in a serious accident. Her spine was folded into three section, cervical spine and right leg fractured, one foot was crushed and loss of fertility. She spent a long time to face all these things. In 1926, when she in the rehabilitation process, she drew her first portrait. Then, she began to record her life and emotion in painting. Most of her paintings were self-portrait, she explained that she always alone and she knew herself the most. She turned disaster into drama. She is Mexican flower of life, Frida Kahlo.

She is the first model. The designer put flower sleeves blouse and flower pattern short pants to the model. It is very simple. The black high heels mean Frida Kahlo steps on the disaster and survive.

2)

It is quite interesting. The green colour pattern is the point. It is vines. I think the hair is not matching with the clothes. The hair stylist should make it more elegant, like putting the flower behind the hair and make the hair higher. 

3)

Do you remember her? She also appears in my previous post. This dress looks like the traditional Europe costume. There also have a lot floral at the neckline. It makes the dress get out from rigid. It is beautiful. The accessories make her looks elegant. I like her hair♥.

She is all in black. The designer uses black concept. I'm not really like the sleeves. It makes the model looks heavy. I think if remove the sleeves better.

5)

This jumpsuit is quite nice. I like the colour. Her hair, make-up, accessories, clothes and shoes all look completed and impeccable. The model also poses with full of confidence. Confidence makes her looks gorgeous.

The black vines are attracted me. It does not snatch the elegant demeanour of the jumpsuit.

It makes the jumpsuit looks wonderful. Overall, it is good.

7)

It is simple, we can usually wear it in any day. The designer uses floral connects the clothes, but I think if she uses skirt will better.  Let's play a game, we cover the down part and imagine. For me, i won't think about black. I will think a short skirt in white and yellow. You can also cover the up part and see what will happen in your mind.

I interview the designer and she says she wants to break the rules so she chooses this dress and other stuffs. The necklaces make the white part look completed. She is also using black high heel.

She is the last model. This dress looks classical. It looks like traditional costume. The silk sleeve makes the dress likes the mixture of traditional and modern. Her make-up and hair style also match with the clothes.

Today's fashion show is nice. I quite enjoy about it. Fighting for the next fashion show (^w^)

 

Fashion Show - Denim

DENIM

My campus has fashion show every Thursday, it is the first time i watch it so near (0w0). There have ten designers. I am going to show you the ten outfits here. I will write my comments down. It is just my opinions.

1)

This is the first model. When she comes out, i don't feel impressed. It does not mean that it is bad, is because of the colour quite dark. I think they should arrange bright colour outfit first. The first and the end outfits are the most important for a fashion show.



2)

This is the second. It is quite nice. It looks simple. I think if add a hat will look nicer. The shoes also can change to light colour and the necklaces makes it shorter. It will make the model looks pure. 

3)

This is the third model. The designer makes it simple. She just put a scarf and rolls up the pants. I think if she chooses high waist jeans better.  It will make the model looks thin and her legs longer. 

4)

This is the fourth. It is nice. Irregular buttoning, old jacket and tassel dress attract people's attention. Inside the old jacket, she wears a white dress. It makes her looks pure and personality.

5)

This is the fifth. The colour of jacket and pants are not match. I feel weird when I see it. The jacket should not too dark. She also can wear a fine necklace. The shoes changes to high heel will look better. Anyway, i like the model XD. Her catwalk is nice and personality.

6)

This is the sixth model. This outfit is not balance. There is too heavy up and too light down. The vest and the dress are not match. The shoes and clothes also not match. I think she should not use this dress, change to a skirt better.

7)

This is the seventh model. Her legs are so long. I am attracted by her♥. I like this outfit. It is simple and nice. The short pants show her legs long. The designer put a scarf on the pants to make it different with others. The hairstyle also matches with the outfit. This is my favourite outfits.

8)

He is the only boy in this fashion show. I think he can catwalk with the first model. They look like wearing couple clothes:D. The same dark sleeve and jeans. This clothes no problem, but nothing special. 

9)

This is the ninth model. The designer makes it simple, just a dress. The point of the dress is the pattern. I think the high heel can change to white. 

10)

She is the last model. This outfit has Japanese feel. The hairstyle and clothes remind of me of Japan. 

That's all the outfits. Conclusion, students still have time to learn, expect for a better fashion show next week (^w^)
